Kill switch
All platformsIf the VPN connection ever drops, your internet is cut instantly rather than falling back to an unprotected connection. You never leak by accident.
Everything below is in the app today, on every plan. This page is the full reference: what each feature does, which protocol to pick, and exactly which platforms support what.
[ 01 / Core ]
Six things every CopVPN account does from the moment you sign in. No tiers, no add-ons.
Servers in 65+ countries and 85+ locations, all running on a 10 Gbps network. Pick a country and you are there.
Your real IP address is replaced by the server you connect to, so sites and your internet provider see the server instead of you.
WireGuard on a 10 Gbps network, with no bandwidth caps and no throttling. Stream and download at the speed you pay your provider for.
AES-256 protects everything leaving your device, on every protocol. Nobody on the network between you and the server can read it.
Buy any plan, use everything for up to 30 days, and ask for a full refund if it is not right for you. No forms, no questions.
Real people, any hour, any day. They handle setup, connection problems, plan changes and refunds.
[ 02 / Security ]
Every one of these is a switch in the app's Settings screen. Turn them on once and forget them.
If the VPN connection ever drops, your internet is cut instantly rather than falling back to an unprotected connection. You never leak by accident.
Choose which apps go through the VPN and which do not. Useful when your bank blocks VPN traffic but you still want everything else protected.
Routes your connection through two servers in different countries instead of one, so no single server sees both who you are and where you are going.
The app opens and connects the moment your device starts, so you are protected before you open a browser.
Launches quietly to the system tray instead of taking over your screen. It is working; it just is not in the way.
Keeps the VPN connected permanently and reconnects on its own if the network changes — moving from Wi-Fi to mobile data, for example.
Blocks known advertising, tracking and malware domains before they load. Pages get lighter and faster as a side effect.
We keep no record of what you do while connected. Servers run from RAM only, so there is nothing stored to lose, leak or hand over.
[ 03 / Protocols ]
The app picks for you by default and that is the right answer for almost everyone. Change it only if something specific is not working.
| Protocol | Speed | Compatibility | Mobile stability | Use it when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WireGuard Default | Speed Fastest | Compatibility Modern apps | Mobile Excellent | Use it when Leave it here. Best speed and battery life, and it reconnects quickly when you move between networks. |
| OpenVPN | Speed Good | Compatibility Widest | Mobile Good | Use it when A restrictive network is blocking WireGuard, or you need the most widely supported option available. |
Fastest
WireGuard. It is the default and it is what you should use unless something stops working.
Most compatible
OpenVPN. Reach for it when a network or an older device refuses WireGuard.
Best on mobile
WireGuard. It reconnects almost instantly when you move between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
[ 04 / Use cases ]
Pick the country you want to appear from, connect, and carry on as normal.
Android TV app
Services decide what you can watch based on where you appear to be. Install CopVPN from Google Play on your Android TV, pick a server in your home country, and your subscriptions work the way they do at home — including live sport that is blacked out where you are travelling.
Install CopVPN from Google Play on your Android TV, or connect through a router, and your TV appears in whichever country you choose.
TipAndroid TV app is free with every plan.
Play on servers in other regions, get into releases early, and stop attacks aimed at your home IP address during matches.
TipPick the lowest-latency server in the list.
Banking apps, news sites and services from home often stop working abroad. Connect to your home country and they behave normally.
TipConnect before you open your banking app.
Café, hotel and airport networks are shared with strangers. Auto-connect turns the VPN on the moment you join one.
TipTurn on auto-connect for untrusted Wi-Fi.
Unlimited bandwidth with no throttling, and your real IP address is never visible to other people in the swarm.
TipMulti-hop adds a second layer if you want it.

Limited means the operating system restricts the feature, so the app approximates it. Each platform page explains how.
// Tablet · landscape
On an iPad or an Android tablet the app runs the full two-column layout rather than a stretched phone screen — connection on the left, server and security controls on the right. Feature support follows the row for that operating system above.
[ 06 / Questions ]
Plain answers about what these features do day to day. Billing questions are on the pricing page.
Answer 01
It is a safety catch. If the VPN connection drops for any reason — the server restarts, your Wi-Fi stutters — the app cuts your internet instead of letting it fall back to an unprotected connection. You might notice a few seconds without internet. What you will not do is send anything unprotected without realising.
Answer 02
No. The app selects WireGuard by default and that is the best choice for almost everyone: fastest, easiest on battery, quick to reconnect. Change it only if something specific is not working — a restrictive network blocking WireGuard, or an older device that only supports OpenVPN.
Answer 03
It lets you send some apps through the VPN and leave others on your normal connection. The common reason is a banking app or a work tool that refuses to run over a VPN: put that one app outside the tunnel and everything else stays protected.
Answer 04
For most people, no. It routes you through two servers instead of one, which adds privacy but costs speed. It is there for people who want the extra separation and are happy to trade some performance for it.
Answer 05
Slightly, always — your traffic is taking a longer path and being encrypted on the way. With WireGuard on a nearby server the difference is usually small enough that streaming and video calls are unaffected. Picking a server further away costs more speed than picking a different protocol.
Answer 06
It does a different job. It blocks known ad, tracking and malware domains at the network level, so it works in every app on the device rather than just the browser. A browser extension can still do things ours cannot, like hiding elements on a page.
Answer 07
Apple restricts what a VPN app is allowed to do on iOS. Split tunneling and launch-at-startup are not permitted by the system, so no VPN can offer them there. Everything the platform does allow — kill switch, always-on, multi-hop, WireGuard — is in the iOS app.
Answer 08
Up to 20 devices can be signed in to one account, and up to 5 of them can be connected to the VPN at the same time. Only devices you have signed in on in the last 30 days count toward the 20. If a sixth device tries to connect, the app tells you the limit has been reached and nobody already connected is cut off. To sign in on another device once 20 are in use, remove one from your account first.
Answer 09
We do not record what you do while connected: no browsing history, no connection timestamps, no traffic logs. Servers run from RAM only, which means nothing is written to a disk and everything disappears when a server restarts. There is no stored record to leak or hand over.
